Employee Spotlight: Laura Miller

Laura Miller earned an AASD in medical assisting in her early career, after which she became a Certified Medical Transcriptionist. She went on to operate her own secretarial/transcription service. While living in San Diego, she changed her career path and graduated with a BA and post-grad teaching certificate (signed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger) from CSU/San Marcos. She taught as a reading specialist in a high-needs ESL elementary school. 

Marrying a Spokane Valley man brought her to Gonzaga in 2012 where she has served as the administrative secretary and law review production manager for seven years. She is now also the administrative assistant to the director of student affairs.

She has traveled extensively to 3 continents, 10 countries (including mission trips to Ethiopia and Romania), and 35 states. She loves creating floral centerpieces and visiting her 15 grandchildren.
