Library Hours for the General Public

Chastek Library's Fall 2020 hours are now available. Library hours are also the hours the law school building will be open to students throughout the semester. Library hours after the Thanksgiving holiday have not been decided.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chastek Library is currently closed to all members of the general public including affiliated attorneys, law bar community members, and Gonzaga University undergraduates.

The library has also been closed to the Federal Depository Library Program until further notice. Please contact a librarian if you have any questions.

Ashley Leaves Chastek Library for Firm Life

It is somewhat bittersweet to announce that Ashley Sundin (Head of Public Services Librarian) will be leaving the Chastek Library to take a position as a Legal & Business Research Analyst at K&L Gates in their Seattle office.  Ashley has been at Gonzaga over 6 years and all of us in the Chastek Library have enjoyed working with her.  Ashley is a great law librarian and has done many good things at Gonzaga, including providing research to faculty, teaching law school classes (in-person and online) as an adjunct, supervising the public services department in the library, assisting with the library’s collection development, writing many articles for the NW Lawyer/Washington State Bar News magazine, teaching CLEs, and providing legal research training to students. She even earned an MBA from Gonzaga while working here.   Aside from her high level of competency as a law librarian, we will miss her wonderful attitude, work ethic, and sense of humor.  Ashley has seen a lot of cha
