COVID-19 Resource Guide for Students

As you’re all stuck at home navigating the territory of online classes and keeping yourself entertained in isolation, check out the new guide from Chastek Library, COVID-19 Resource Guide for Students. It will provide you with up to date information on COVID-19 via the CDC RSS feeds, and also link you to sources that will help you with your schoolwork, such as how to access free internet and other educational resources like online study aids. If needing a break, check out the various entertainment resources online, and browse through the list of restaurants that are currently offering delivery or takeout.

It will be updated regularly during this time so keep checking in for extra fun links. And, if there is anything else you’d like to see on this guide that may assist other students, please let us know! We hope this makes your lives a little easier at this time. Stay safe and healthy.

Ashley Leaves Chastek Library for Firm Life

It is somewhat bittersweet to announce that Ashley Sundin (Head of Public Services Librarian) will be leaving the Chastek Library to take a position as a Legal & Business Research Analyst at K&L Gates in their Seattle office.  Ashley has been at Gonzaga over 6 years and all of us in the Chastek Library have enjoyed working with her.  Ashley is a great law librarian and has done many good things at Gonzaga, including providing research to faculty, teaching law school classes (in-person and online) as an adjunct, supervising the public services department in the library, assisting with the library’s collection development, writing many articles for the NW Lawyer/Washington State Bar News magazine, teaching CLEs, and providing legal research training to students. She even earned an MBA from Gonzaga while working here.   Aside from her high level of competency as a law librarian, we will miss her wonderful attitude, work ethic, and sense of humor.  Ashley has seen a lot of cha
